The light of day fades, and so too does the light in you.
The growing darkness leaves you void as the thoughts return.
When near others their light may bring yours back, but when they leave, so too does your light.
You wander aimlessly, wondering, and hoping to get your light back, but to no avail.
All you can think of is the one who took your light, and how radiant they look with it.

Do you know what it's like?
Do you know what it’s like?
Do you know what it’s like to have loved and lost?
Do you know what it’s like to constantly want to seek out that love again?
Do you know what it’s like to be let down over and over, never quite reaching the first step?
Do you know what it’s like to have such terrible luck that every time you do manage to take the first step, something gets in the way?
Do you know what it’s like to envy of those around you, because they seem to have the one thing you want most, the one thing you take seriously in the world?

It starts small. You smile more, your face lighting up when you think of her. The spring in your step returns. You feel like the world is brighter, sunnier, and welcoming. Your music changes, filled more with brighter styles and silly love songs. Everything seems to be in perspective, and you get lost in thought when she crosses your mind. You lose sleep, thinking of her, and thinking of all that could be, and all that has been, and hope seems to bloom in you. The anxiety also strikes, telling you that it’s all a dream, that it won’t happen, but it is overcome by hope and desire. Every message received seems a gift, bringing more
The wind blows across the empty street, picking up and scattering leaves around you as you walk along the dimly lit sidewalk. The world seems to disappear as you walk, lost in thought, wondering about what could have been, and introspective thought on personal motivation. Things, things always seem to repeat themselves, and once you try to break the chain it all comes crumbling around you, so you fear deviation. You fear rejection and the pain and humiliation that comes with, but you also fear the loneliness and mystery of what could be. You curse yourself. Why oh why can’t you do that which you so desire, why must fear be so ever prese
The world seems fine, everything seems fine, the world in the palm of your hand, but then it hits. The thought, the memory, the passing glimpse of something that once was. It all crumbles before you, and your strength flies away. The world seems dark again, and the brightness seems to be contained in the memories of something past. You yearn for that which was, and want that which might be, but it's too late, not enough, the mistake was made and you are without. For days it feels as though a wound has been reopened, send you gradually gain strength as the memory seems to dissipate, returning only in times of solitude and thought, before final
A picture, or a moment, and suddenly you're back. The world around is blissful and you are aware that things are as they were before your mistake. You both love and loathe these moments as they are sweet, yet bittersweet. The world could be that much brighter, if not for one action, and the fact that one decision can mean so much is astonishing. It doesn't take much for the flashback, a scent in the air, a glimpse of an old photo, or a local event, and suddenly you are drawn away to a world you once knew. You long for a change, but fear that it may never be so again, and the world around passes as your mind struggles to think of all that happ
They sat together on the subway, her head on his shoulder. Both were tired from a fun but long day of exploring the city. Her eyes stared forward as she was deep in thought, and he smiled as he studied her face. He kissed her on the top of her head and she broke out of her trance, gazing into his eyes and smiling softly before returning her head to his shoulder and closing her eyes sleepily. He rested his head on hers and looked forward again, scanning the rest of the compartment they were in, and thinking about how cute she looked when she got sleepy. There were many people on, but it wasn’t crowded for the time of day, which he was th

He sat in the corner of the store looking over his laptop as everyone else in the small café was. He sat browsing the internet and generally lost in thought when the familiar chime of the door opening caused him to casually look up to see who may have entered. His first glance was proceeded by a second as he realized that the newcomer was a woman he had never seen before. The longer he looked, the more entranced he became with her. She was beautiful, in a classic kind of way, and he couldn’t help but fall for her in that moment. He thought her perfect. Her long, wavy hair was the deep brown of mahogany wood, and it blew slightl

A man with a mediocre talent for creative ideas and putting words to paper, focusing more on short stories, poems, occasional fanfic, and sometimes drawings. Big RT fan.

So I realize that I've been gone for quite a while, but I think I may be back, at least for a little while, although my writing from now on will probably be more focused on poetry and short stories, although I do have an idea for a longer series I wo...
Im sorry for disappearing lately with my writing. I actually have the rough draft of Salvage part 3 done in my binder but i just haven't had time lately to type it up and all. I've been busy lately with a thousand different things and the stress has been getting to me leaving me practically curled up on the couch trying to avoid the stress, which i know doesn't help but its all i can do. Ive been trying to check in every couple of days and i have all of these ideas for Colo but i just haven't been able to do much with all i have going in (I've got like three new story ideas i just don't have the time to bring them to fruition :( ) I'm sorry
So apparently I've been on DA for six months. So woooooooo! The time has flown by for me. I'm gunna keep this short since I'm on my iPod but I'd like to thank Gunfighter23 (https://www.deviantart.com/gunfighter23) for introducing me to DA and all of my FB role play friends also. Thank you all!
